Assistant
Assistant

Led the design team within Google Assistant, tasked with making it proactive in response to user needs.

Developed range of experiences leveraging machine learning, including Snapshot, a personalized view of tasks inferred automatically from Gmail, Photos, Calendar, Keep, and other sources.

Developed Duplex on the Web, capable of completing tasks on the user's behalf such as password changes on compromised websites and booking Covid-19 vaccinations, with notable deployment in India.

Devices & Services
Nest Hub

Defined Nest Hub (formerly Google Home Hub), guiding fundamental ideas, principles, and narrative.

Developed prototypes for gestural navigation and proximity based UI.

Co-led multi-disciplinary team across Assistant and Devices & Services, defining the operating system. Product was finally unveiled at Made by Google.

Home & Cast

Led design team on Google Home, a voice-activated speaker that integrates the Assistant into homes, and Chromecast, which enables content streaming via the Cast platform.

Established out-of-box experience, content discovery and device management within the app, rebranded from Google Cast to Google Home and established foundational flows to support a growing family of devices.

Managed Cast UX guidelines, used by over 2000 developers, including major partners like Netflix, Hulu and HBO.

Open Web

Outside primary role at Google, worked with design and development community to advocate for HTML5 capabilities. The goal was to bridge the design-development gap through public speaking events, developer meetups, open-sourced experiments, workshops, articles, podcasts and more.

Provided art direction for 20 Things I Learned, an initiative from the Chrome team, further contributing to the spread of HTML5 knowledge and its practical uses.
